Book Pet Peeves

I love books and reading during any spare minute I get (I often end up falling asleep at 4 am because of a good book.) But there are a number of things that authors/publisher/readers do that makes me mad!

The thing that annoys me the most about books are cover changes in the middle of trilogies or series. Believe me, I am not the only person who hates this, all the people I know can not stand having different styles of covers in one series or trilogy. When I buy books that are in a series and put them on my shelf, i expect to have uniform and similar covers that follow the same style for each cover. Otherwise, I look at my bookshelf and cringe seeing the different styles of covers.

Stickers. I think that should be enough of an explanation but to elaborate, stickers that are printed onto that covers advertising a movie or something. They will never come off. All I want to do is shout "IS MY BOOK WORTH RUINING FOR A STUPID STICKER WHICH WILL NEVER COME OFF?" Stickers that peel off and leave nothing on the book are fine, but then you get those ones that start peeling off and just rip. You end up with half the sticker off and that rest is on there forever.

Also, when people fold over the corner of a page instead of using a bookmark. I just cant stand it, it ruins the books and the pages. That is why bookmarks were invented and are so popular. So you don't have to fold the corner of a page and ruin a perfectly good book. Enough said.

Lastly, and for me, most importantly, people who fold back the spine of paper backs. The books become reshaped and look odd and not even and uniform (you might be starting to get an idea that I'm a bit OCD about bookshelves being uniform and even.) That's why I hate loaning books to people, practically all the books I get back have their spines bent (or are ruined in some other way.) The worst thing is that I used to do this myself, and my Hunger Games trilogy is horribly misshapen and I can;t stand to look at it.

So those are my pet peeves when it comes to books. I would love to hear from you guys about what you think.

Lets talk Fandoms

As we all know, you could find a fandom for pretty much anything on the internet. Books, movies, celebrities, TV shows, Bands, YouTubers and even video games have plenty of fandoms. And it's so easy to get obsessed by something and to join a fandom, it might as well be some sort of drug. I, myself, am in a very large number of fandoms. Though, these mostly consist of books,TV shows, movies and YouTubers. People have said that my music taste isn't the best and who am I to argue. Pretty much all I listen to is pop, hmm... I should work on that.

I would write out all of the fandoms that I am in, but it would take me all day. So, I will just tell you some of my favourites.
Books: The Mortal Instruments, Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars, The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games and Legend
Movies: Sherlock Holmes, Hunger Games, Inception, Catch Me If You Can and The Butterfly Effect.
TV Shows: Sherlock, Awkward, House, The Mentalist, Friends, Mythbusters, Whose Line is it Anyway and Call the Midwife.
YouTubers: Danisnotonfire, AmazingPhil, Emma Blackery, KickThePJ, Crabstickz, Thereadables, VlogBrothers, Katytastic, TheFineBros, BarelyPolitical, PewDiePie, Shane Dawson and CutePolish.

Wow, I watch a lot of YouTubers. Anyway, those are just some of my favourite fandoms. I want to hear from all of you about your favourite fandoms so simply comment below and let me know what you think!

The Beginnings

Hello Internet! (I'm referencing Danisnotonfire already, sorry, I just can't help myself!)

As a 15 year old girl living in this day and age, I feel like the best way for me to express myself is through writing. And I have always wanted to share my thoughts and feelings with people. So I thought "Hey, why not start a blog?". Now, here I am. Introducing myself to you.

I don't consider my life to be an interesting one, so I will not bore you on the facts of it. Instead, I want to talk about stuff that means something to me, things that ARE interesting. I, of course, mean fictional worlds, characters, TV shows, YouTube and movies. These are the things that matter to me and make me the fangirl that I am. I don't want to be just a typical fangirl. But lets face it, if I were to meet an actor from one of my favourite movies or a YouTuber whose videos I watched, what else could I do rather than freak out and release my inner fangirl? Nothing.

So what I'm trying to say is that I am just another fangirl, but so is everyone. The fact is that most people just don't realise it. I want people like me to read this blog, fangirls and fanboys alike, people who want to share their thoughts and feelings with the world. Whether you are anonymous or not, I want to hear your thoughts and to be able to discuss things that are interesting with you. Please, tell me what you want me to blog about, and feel free to comment below and start a discussion with other readers.
